Matt Lane

About

I build production AI systems and the proof around them. Not demos — platforms, playbooks, and verification layers that hold up when someone is depending on them.

Before any of that I spent a decade on a warehouse floor, running inventory, materials, and fleet. That is where I learned that a system is only real if it works on the worst shift of the week, with the tired crew, under a deadline. Every product I build now is designed against that standard.

I treat LLMs as brilliant but scattered collaborators. Reliability does not come from a clever phrase — it comes from architecture: prompt systems, multi-agent orchestration, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop gates. I teach that craft because most teams have been burned by generic prompting and need habits that survive real work.

The road here

2015 — 2025

Warehouse leadership, IDI Distributors, Corona CA

Took inventory accuracy from 30% to 99.9%. Three procedures I wrote were adopted across 63 branches. Overtime cut by more than 20%. Rebuilt SAP cycle counts into a loop that survived the graveyard shift — which is the only real test.

Mar — Jun 2026

Materials supervisor, Agile Fittings

Short run, ended when the company lost contracts. It sharpened the thesis: the knowledge that keeps operations accurate is never written down anywhere.

2025 — now

AI systems and enablement, DBA VigileX

Amplifi Studio, AccessScanX, Proof Engine, Cognition Studio, Fenyx. Master certificates in Lovable and Claude. Published the Architect's Playbook and now teach the craft to teams that got burned by generic prompting.

What I am looking for

Senior remote or hybrid roles in AI product, platform, prompt architecture, agentic systems, or enablement — work where I ship systems and raise the reliability bar. US work authorized. Ready immediately. Partnerships welcome too.
